Fall, in love
June 2024

During my final year at the National circus school of Montreal, I had the privilege to perform in the graduation show Fall, in love at Tohu, directed by Goos Meeuwsen and Helena Bittencourt. They drew inspiration from the glamour of old Hollywood to create a world where love is in centre stage. Through a series of poetic, humorous, and touching scenes, every shade of love is explored, its impulses, awkwardness, and contradictions.
I was part of a hoop diving collective, where we worked closely with the directors on the spatial organization of the stage to create a scene of organized chaos. The group’s energy, the imperfect yet organic synchronization, and the intersecting
paths reflected the complexity and beauty of love’s disorder.

I also had the honor of playing the role of the Heart, a character who wishes love could be simple, beautiful, and red, but gradually realizes how difficult it can be to love and to be loved. Exhausted, he transitions into a hand-to hand quartet, a moment where partners keep changing, echoing how relationships can shift and transform over time.

This show holds a special place for me, it marked the end of four years spent creating and growing with my friends and classmates, and the beginning of my professional career.
